Q&AQ&A

Gel Materials (Roll/Sheet)

What is the thickness of the gel sheets?
Standard products are 0.5 to 1.0 mm, but please contact us for other thicknesses.
What is the size of the sheet products?
Normally 250 x 450 mm, but please contact us for other sizes.
What is the size of the roll?
The width of the standard product is 240 mm or 300 mm, and the roll length is 80 m, 100 m, or 150 m (depending on the thickness). Slit processing is available for each size.
Can you provide a sample?
We can provide 10 cm square and A4 sized samples. Please contact us.
Can the gel be used only as bioelectrodes?
We also have a track record of using electrodes for geological exploration in industrial applications.
Does the gel conduct electricity only ionically?
The gel conducts electricity only ionically.
What about reducing the gel moisture content?
Because it's a hydrogel, the moisture content may decrease in high temperatures or dry environments, but it's designed to maintain a constant moisture content under normal usage conditions.

Medical/Healthcare Fields

Does it cause a rash?
Electrodes using our company's ST-gel are highly safe, hypoallergenic, gentle on the skin, and less likely to cause a rash.
How stable are electrocardiographic measurements?
Since ST-gel can be designed to have low impedance, it allows accurate electrocardiogram measurements.
Is it possible to re-adhere the electrodes?
All electrodes except for the HIT gels can be repeatedly re-adhered. HIT gel has a characteristic of initial adhesiveness and so is not suitable for repetitive re-adhering.
Can the impedance be adjusted?
Various designs are possible by selecting a combination of different gel types, element materials and shapes.
Can the adhesiveness be adjusted?
Various designs are possible by selecting a combination of different compositions including gel properties and intermediate substrates.
What are the types of electrode materials?
Carbon and silver/silver chloride etc. are used.
Can the product propagate ultrasonic waves?
We can assist in designing gels for biological propagation related to ultrasonic wave electrodes including various ultrasonic treatment devices and ultrasonic diagnostic devices designed by customers.
What about the electrode's safety to the human body?
Gel materials maintained high levels of safety in all biological tests required for the safety evaluation of medical device classifications conducted by an external testing laboratory in accordance with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare guidelines.
Can the size of an electrode pad be changed? Is it possible to print a logo on it?
Based on customers' requests, the size can be changed and logos can be printed.
How long can an adhesive pad be used for?
Although it is disposable in principle, please use a new one if the adhesiveness declines, if the element parts are torn, or if discoloration is observed. Even if there are no tears etc. after 1 month of opening, please exchange it.

Cosmetic Field

What is the difference between your products and gel pack materials from other companies?
After the product is opened, beauty essence will seep out of the gel over time.
Can quasi-drugs also be manufactured?
Both cosmetics and quasi-drugs can be manufactured.
It is possible to add vitamin C?
Glucoside derivatives of vitamin C can be added as quasi-drugs (for whitening).
Is the gel acidic or alkaline?
It is slightly acidic with a pH of 4.5 to 6.5.
Can prototypes be manufactured?
If the beauty ingredients to be added are sent to us or are specified, we can manufacture prototypes. Please contact us to discuss quantities, delivery dates and other conditions.
What are the differences between the SR/CR grade and the CP grade used for adhesive pads and electrocardiogram electrodes?
Although the raw materials and manufacturing methods are different, the most significant difference is the moisture content. Has a high moisture content of about 80% as cosmetics/quasi-drugs for skin care.
