Summary

ST-gel is a hydrogel developed by Sekisui's original polymerization technology. It is a highly functional and safe material that securely holds water and optionally, a moisturizer and electrolytes in a hydrophilic resin matrix.

n Adhesion

Addition of electrolytes provides ion conductivity, which can cover from low impedance biomedical sensors such as ECG to high impedance for TENS and stimulation electrodes.

n Elasticity

Gels are elastic but are generally weak in tensile strength.
Highly elastic hydrogels with low adhesion and high tensile strength are also available (prototype).

n Medical CR

Medical CR is a hydrogel designed for sensors of ECG and EMG (electroencephalograph) electrodes, etc. It has low impedance, and its combination with an Ag/AgCl (silver or silver chloride) element produces resistance to non-polarization and defibrillation. Soft adhesion makes reapplication possible. It is very compliant to the skin, providing stable measurements.

n Medical SR

Medical SR is a hydrogel designed for electrical stimulation such as TENS and EMS electrodes. Weight change is small, and can be used repeatedly.

n HIT Grade

ST-gel suitable for various disposable electrodes such as resting ECG electrodes (electrodes for electrocardiography). High adhesion can be obtained from the very first contact to the skin.

n AG Grade

ST-gel with high adhesion as strong as the acrylic binder, which are used in adhesive tapes. High and long lasting adhesion suitable for adhesive products for skin.

n G Grade

ST-gel with very high elasticity and tensile strength.
